This Can Be The Place You Come Back To

Sep 15, 2026

Much of life is a lot like the movie Groundhog Day. We have the same struggles over and over again, and eventually -- if we stay at it long enough and suffer long enough -- we’ll get it. We’ll change our thinking, our behavior, our entire way of being in the world.

Now, think about that for a second. Sounds amazing, right? But also… kind of really freaking hard!

Who wants to be Sisyphus continually pushing that boulder up the hill only to have it come rolling back down? Even if you know you’ll eventually succeed, that’s wearying, potentially soul-crushing work.

Which is where therapy comes in. Because doing your very own Sisyphus impression is a lot easier to bear when you have someone to help you. When you have a secure home base to come back to. Someone who can help you navigate, who holds the lantern while you make your way through your life.

Therapy is a process of self-discovery that also involves taking action, and the therapeutic relationship is like having a home base to come back to after you have taken that action.

A place where you’ll be cheered on when you challenge yourself in important ways and it succeeds. And where you can receive encouragement to keep trying when things don’t work out, and advice on new ways that you can tackle your issues.

Together, we can finally help you push that boulder over the hill. Or, who knows, maybe discover that you were really supposed to cut a hole straight through the hill instead.

Life is an improvisational dance, after all, and the steps are a lot easier to learn with a partner.
